Buying a diamond accompanied by a gemological certificate is a pledge of authenticity. The certificate presents the main features of a gem. Beginning with its form (round or oval), then its dimensions (diameter and height), its color (from D – Z), its proportions (very good – poor), and lastly, its finish (polish and symmetry).
